What's in an author's name?

Hello! This is officially my first blog post on my brand-spanking-new website. My name is Karin Biggs. But my name's not really Karin Biggs. Karin is the real deal, but 'Biggs' is a made-up combination of my maiden name and married name. I wanted to give my readers an easy last name to spell. And I thought Biggs was a cool name to pick.
